 This course specifically
covers external rendered finishes. The course syllabus
has been designed to be suitable for people that have
little or no Plastering experience through to experienced
internal Plastering specialists.
The aim of this course is to instruct you in the correct
methods and procedures involved, in the application and
finish of:
• Spanish style render finish
• Sacking
• Fan textured finish
• Old English cottage style finish
• Dry dash (Dorset Spar)
• Wet dash (Scottish Harl)
• Plain faced finish
• Blocking
• Ashlar jointing
• Imitation stone work
• Castling with stringers
• Pargetting
 Also covered within this course is the information
needed to work the new resin based external finishes
such as ‘K-rend
and Monocouche
Certification for this course can be used towards N.V.Q
units VR01, VR03, VR61, VR62, Vr67 and VR77.
