The reason
I chose this course was that after reading
what Plastering & Artexing Training
School has to offer I decided that, with
the content of the course it would put
me in a good position for when I start
up my own business. The training was in-depth
from day one and the knowledge from the
instructors was second to none. For any
person leaving the forces and thinking
of going into the building trade the advice
I would give is – research what trade
you wish to do, speak to your resettlement
officer, do a course with a qualification
at the end of it and “Go for it”.
I joined the Navy in Jan 1997 and left
in Jan 2006. Since then I haven’t
looked back. I originally planned to
work part-time on a Self Employed basis
but that soon changed as the work rolled
in. Since starting my own business in
Southampton I regularly work 12 hours
a day. The money’s good and I’m
my own boss. I’m not complaining – though
I can’t say the same for the wife!!! |
